JOIN THE NCBCA FOR THE 24-25 SCHOOL YEAR
TO BECOME A MEMBER OF THE NCBCA
you must pay NCBCA yearly dues and must be “actively engaged in coaching basketball in the public schools of the State of North Carolina on the high school (NCHSAA member school) or junior high/middle school level.” In order to be considered “actively engaged in coaching basketball,” a person must meet at least one of the following:

Be a bona fide faculty member

Work as a basketball coach for the school and be paid for these duties

Work as a school-approved non-faculty coach and be paid for these duties

Work as a school-approved non-faculty volunteer coach

Be a living, retired coach that served in one of the above capacities

He/She is currently coaching basketball at a North Carolina college or university.

Member Benefits
- Involvement in providing a consistent, strong voice for North Carolina basketball coaches with the NCHSAA.
- Ability to nominate deserving players for post-season awards and honors.
- Ability to cast votes to select the NCBCA All District and All State teams.
- Eligibility to receive NCBCA coaching awards and honors.

- Access to Members Only section of the website, which contains a Bulletin Board with postings for tournaments seeking teams, teams looking for games and other Coaching Resources.
- Free membership in the National High School Basketball Coaches Association (NHSBCA), which includes discounted rates on coaching resources like ‘Winning Hoops’, ‘Wooden’s Wisdom’, Better Basketball, as well as discounted membership into the NABC and WBCA.
- Opportunities for community service and ideas for providing leadership and mentoring.
